How to Choose the Right RV Foggy Window Repair Kit 1. Move your sliding window forward at the driver’s seat. 2. Take a 1/4″ drill bit and see if the smooth end fits snugly between the panes of glass: – If it fits, you need the 1/4″ seal kit. – If it doesn’t fit, you need the 3/16″ seal kit. 3. Measure the entire perimeter of the window and add up the measurements to find out how much seal you need. Each kit comes with ten feet of seal. The best advice I can give is after placing gasket on first piece of glass place the second piece on top but do not peel the tape to stick it together. Look at the clarity of the glass first. When the glass is put together it shows all the things you missed inside and you can separate the panes for a touch up cleaning. Once satisfied you can peel the second piece of tape and finish

The product does work. In my Monaco it required serious effort and I’m glad I purchased extra RTV and spacer. The kit was almost enough to repair one window / two sashes. Prepare to work hard to get this job done. The lift rail was difficult to remove. 1.5-2 hours for that alone. Having done one unit the other units should be a little easier. There is a learning curve and if your window has frosted to opaque don’t expect to get it clear. I think I should have bought the Glass Polish with it but didn’t have time to wait for another order. We were leaving too soon on a trip.
