How to Measure

Measure the air space between your RV window panes so you can order the correct spacer and seal kit the first time.

Choose Your Spacer Size

The easy way to measure for the correct spacer for your RV windows is:

Don’t guess on the size! Two easy ways to measure!

Grab a standard ruler and look closely at the edge of your fogged window.

Find the Air Space Between the Glass
Slide a window forward and look right at the edge of your double-pane glass. You are measuring the empty air space between the inside piece of glass and the outside piece of glass.
1/4 inch gap is about the thickness of 3 quarters stacked together. Order the 1/4″ Kit and spacer.
3/16 inch gap (slightly narrower, about the thickness of 2 quarters stacked together) Order the 3/16″ Kit and spacer.
Or use a 1/4″ drill bit. If the smooth end fits snugly between the panes of glass, you need the 1/4″ seal kit. If the 1/4″ bit will not fit, you need the 3/16″ seal kit.

Measure completely around the outside edges of the windowpane. (Top + Bottom + Left Side + Right Side).
Each kit includes 10 feet of seal.
One kit has one ten-foot section of our custom engineered spacer seal. If your total measurement is over 10 feet (like a massive living room picture window), you will need to order additional spacer material.

If you’re between sizes, check the glass edge carefully and confirm with the drill-bit method before ordering. 90% of the time the spacer is 3/16″
